So I've Decided To Start Blogging.... Again

I absolutely love "blog hopping"... in fact, Jordan always gives me a hard time about how long I can sit in front of the computer and just read these amazing blogs.

I've tried blogging before, but I never could keep it up. I never thought my life was interesting enough to go on a blog. Then... the more I thought about it, the more I realized how much I would enjoy being able to document some of the special events that happen in our lives and then look back on them years later.

So.. I've decided to start blogging.

I guess the best place to start is just a quick update on our lives. So much has happened just in the past couple of months.

December:
Jordan and I celebrated our one year anniversary of marriage. We didn't really do anything special, because my mom's family had our "Christmas" get-together on that day... so a couple of nights before he took me to dinner and that was about it. Even though we didn't make a big deal about it, it was such a special and sweet time. The first year went by so quickly, but it was so sweet. I am so thankful to have such an amazing man as my husband.

We moved!! Constantly showing us HE IS FAITHFUL, God provided us with an amazing opportunity to live in a house that my cousin owned. She had no use for the house herself, but didn't want to sell it. She offered for us to live in the house RENT FREE for as long as we needed to or wanted to. Wow... can you believe it? Sometimes we still can't believe how faithful God has been to us.

Jordan graduated from Jacksonville State with his Bachelor's degree in Special Education on December 18th. YAY!! We had a bunch of family and friends over at our "new" house and had a blast. After his graduation, Jordan's mom stayed with us from the 18th to the 25th. This was such an amazing gift to be able to have her with us for a whole week! We loved it! She suffers from Alzheimer's, so we want to soak up all the time we can get with her.

Of course, Christmas was amazing! We did a lot... a lot of traveling, but Santa Claus still came to visit Jordan and me at my parents house so of course... that was great. We truly are like two big kids!

January:
There was one big event that really made January out to be a great month... JORDAN GOT A JOB! Hallelujah! This was such a big deal, because it's almost impossible for teachers to get a job in the middle of the semester. Thankfully, the Lord showed us again how he loves his children and remains faithful, even we don't deserve it. He was hired on at Tenth Street Elementary as the K-3 Special Ed teacher. Jordan is really starting to enjoy his job. Seeing him and hearing him interact with the children is amazing. They LOVE him, and I can't help but think about what an amazing daddy he will make one day...

So far February has been pretty amazing... hmm... I think I'll save February for another post :)
